PROPRIETARY EXPLORATION MODEL · JV & JO Only

Greenfield Exploration Model

Find where exploration should begin.

For Mineral Prospecting and Ranking Exploration Targets

A large area of ground is not yet an exploration strategy. GAIA’s Greenfield Exploration Model brings regional geology, mineral-system understanding and available exploration evidence into one assessment, helping project partners focus on the areas that deserve closer investigation.

Available exclusively through JV or JO project cooperation. Not available for self-service platform access.

From a broad area to focused exploration

01

Read the mineral system at regional scale

Connect tectonic setting, lithology, structures, magmatic activity and known mineralization to a geological model. Establish what a prospective area should look like before ranking individual anomalies.

02

Bring multiple lines of evidence together

Compare remote-sensing clues, geochemical patterns, geophysical responses and historical information where available. Identify where evidence converges, where it conflicts and where the absence of data limits the assessment.

03

Rank targets for the next stage of work

Develop priorities around geological relevance, evidence quality and the value of further investigation. Link each target to a practical question for field mapping, sampling or additional surveys.

Build the assessment around your project

What we work with

A project location and boundary; target commodities; available geological maps and historical reports; known occurrences; and any existing remote-sensing, geochemical or geophysical information. Early-stage projects can begin with a review of what is available and what needs to be collected.

What the project work can produce

  • 01A regional mineral-system interpretation with its supporting evidence and assumptions.
  • 02Candidate target areas and an explained priority order for further investigation.
  • 03A summary of conflicting evidence, data gaps and the limits of the assessment.
  • 04A staged verification plan connecting target hypotheses to the next exploration tasks.

The work scope and deliverables are defined for each JV or JO project following a review of the data, objectives and project stage.

A staged path from evidence to verification

01

Establish the project context

Review the area, geological setting, available data and the exploration decision the partnership needs to make.

02

Develop and compare targets

Integrate the evidence, examine competing interpretations and prioritize areas for further work.

03

Verify and refine

Use new field observations and survey results to strengthen, revise or reject target hypotheses.

Illustrative project scenario

A large concession with limited modern exploration

A project may have regional maps, scattered occurrences and a small amount of historical sampling, but no clear basis for choosing the next work area. The first objective is to build a regional interpretation, identify candidate targets and determine which field observations would most improve the decision. Drilling becomes a later question when the evidence justifies it.

Questions before we explore together

What projects is this model designed for?

It is intended for early-stage mineral exploration, regional screening and target prioritization, including projects where the available information is fragmented.

Can a project begin with limited data?

Yes. An initial review can establish whether the available evidence supports a meaningful assessment and what additional data would be most useful.

Does a high-priority target mean a deposit has been discovered?

No. A target is a hypothesis that deserves investigation. Mineralization, continuity and economic significance must be established through further work.

How are priorities determined?

Priorities consider geological relevance, the strength and consistency of the evidence, unresolved uncertainty and the next useful verification task.

Can I access the model through a platform subscription?

No. The Greenfield Exploration Model is a proprietary capability available only through joint venture (JV) or joint operation (JO) project cooperation. It is not available as a self-service platform tool.

What should I share for an initial discussion?

Start with the project location, target commodities, project stage and a short summary of available data. GAIA can then discuss project fit and the scope of a potential JV or JO partnership with you.
